What is your WHY?

So, START WITH THE WHY?

Whether you are setting off on your property journey or have been doing for a while one of the best things to do is to ask yourself the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION – WHY?

COMMIT IDEAS TO PAPER:

  • During my coaching sessions I always ask my mentees to REALLY reflect upon THEIR ‘Why’s’.
  • I then ask them to WRITE it down, as it has been proven that when you commit something to paper you are more likely to DO IT! This is not too hard to believe as when writing things down you have to THINK about it more and as the saying goes ‘talk is cheap’!
  • None surprisingly most people have different reasons and aspirations for why they want to get involved in or actual invest in properties.

ASK BETTER QUESTIONS:

 

  • In order to truly get the best of out yourself and others, it’s is imperative we ask BETTER questions.
  • Open vs Closed Q’s:
    • By that I mean ask yourself more Open rather than Closed questions.
  • So more Why? What? and How? Where you have to think about the answers in fuller depth rather than asking Can I? Is it? where the answers are more Yes/No’s.

TAKE ACTIONS:

  • The most difficult phenomenon I find is that people say I attend a training course and spend thousands of £££ but didn’t do anything with the knowledge. This is not an issue with the course provider nor the content but rather an issue with the individual where (like a lot of others) we find it hard to take actions and utilise this knowledge.
  • I find that 1-1 coaching works well for this type of person where they are ‘coached’ and ‘supported’ to take actions and do something.
  • During my mentorship program I cover these very important facets (see below) of how to help mentees move from Goals (the Why’s) to Strategies/Tactics (the How’s).

DEVELOP A PERSONAL PLAN OF ACTIONS:

  • Goals & Objectives
  • Strategies
  • Tactics
  • Execution
  • Review
 
I would urge anyone who is thinking of investing in properties and or who have attended a property training course, recently or a while back but not taken any actions YET to follow the above steps to help shape a PLAN OF ACTIONS.

STATE YOUR GOALS OPENLY

Another key step to moving from talking to actions is to STATE YOUR GOALS OPENLY to friends and family, as once again it has been shown to deliver better outputs, since inherently one is more compelled to DO SOMETHING to ensure they meet their stated goals.
 
So if you are in that mindset and are willing to share your GOALs (your WHY’s) then do so HERE and let your fellow INVESTORS help and support you in your journey.
 
We all have insecurities but in my humble opinion, the ones who know how to manage them are the ones who do the best in life!💪😃
